International Journal of Optics and Photonics (IJOP) Peer Review Process

  1. The paper is submitted by the corresponding author,

  2. The paper is checked by Editor and similarity checked by EDAS Software,

  3. If the similarity of the paper is beyond the level specified by the Journal Editorial Board (JEB), a rejection email is sent to the corresponding author,

  4. Otherwise, the JEB assign relevant reviewers for the paper,

  5. Emails are sent to the assigned reviewers to get their responds for acceptance or declination of the paper review,

  6. If any of the reviewers declines the paper review, another reviewer is assigned by JEB,

  7. After review, based on the reviewers’ comments, the JEB will decide on the paper status:

  • If the paper is rejected by majority of the reviewers, the editor will send a rejection email to the corresponding author accompanying with the reviewers’ comments,

  • If the paper is accepted or provisionally accepted  by the majority of the reviewers, the editor will send an email to the corresponding author accompanying with the reviewers’ comments,

  1. After paper revision and corrections by authors, the JEB will decide again on the paper status:

  • The paper which all its corrections and revisions are highlighted and the letter of the authors which are replied the comments of the reviewers and explained all their paper corrections and revisions, are sent to the reviewers to re-review it,

  • If the corrections are not sufficient, a rejection email is sent to the corresponding author,

  1. Again, based on the new reviewers’ comments:

  • If all the revisions are done, an acceptance letter will be sent to the corresponding author.

  • If some new or uncorrected comments have been given by the reviewers, all are forwarded with the provisional acceptance letter to the corresponding author,

  • If the corrections are not sufficient, a rejection email will be sent to the corresponding author,

  1. The final version of the revised paper is corrected and revised by the journal office and the pre-print paper is published online.

  2. The paper proof file in pdf format is prepared with some corrections and comments and sent to the corresponding author,

  3. After receiving the corrected and revised proof file, after some revisions, a digital object identifier (DOI) is bought for the paper and finally, the final online and printed version of the paper will be published.
